WATCH: Last Train To Mahakali (1999) by Anurag Kashyap

Here's a short thriller I came across this evening while looking for an Anurag Kashyap film. Remember Star Bestsellers? Last Train To Mahakali was made back then to be aired as part of the TV series. Besides him, it showcased works of writers, directors like Imtiaz Ali, Hansal Mehta, Tigmanshu Dhulia, Sriram Raghavan.

The short was received tremendously well by viewers. It even won a Special Jury Award at the Star Screen Awards that year.

Written & directed by Anurag Kashyap, Last Train To Mahakali is a story of a doctor who claims to have found a cure for any kind of virus-based disease. It's 45 minutes of nail-biting thrill, an unforgettable performance by Kay Kay Menon and one of the best shorts I've seen in a long time. Watch it right away (link below). And while you're at it, I'm off to catch hold of some more shorts in the series. Don't forget to share your reviews in the comments below.
