5 facts about Farhan Akhtar you sure didn't know

1. The charming and versatile Farhan Akhtar who has donned many hats - director, actor, writer, producer, singer - worked as a camera assistant on Yash Chopra's Lamhe (1991) and as an assistant director to Pankaj Parashar in Himalay Putra (1997). 

2. Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. (2007) was supposed to mark his acting debut but he had to be replaced by Abhay Deol since he was working on Don during that time.

3. Before working with Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (2013), Farhan was offered the role of Siddharth in Rang De Basanti (2006) He wasn't ready at that time.

4. He opted to study Commerce in Mumbai's H.R. College of Commerce and Economics but soon realized he disliked the subject. He was dismissed in the second year due to low attendance!

5. At one point, Farhan's mother threatened to throw him out of the house if he did not do something worthwhile. That's when he wrote the cult classic Dil Chahta Hai (2001).
