10 best streaming services to watch Indian films

We've put together some of the best, legit and fairly priced movie streaming services to watch Indian films online (in no particular order). If you'd like to suggest anything besides these, feel free to share it in the comments below.

1) Netflix

The most popular streaming service in the US for films and TV shows, finally came to India this year. It has limited titles for now. Hopefully it'll add more to its library soon. Here's a complete list of all Indian films showing right now on Netflix.

In Rs. 650/month you can watch HD content on 2 screens simultaneously
Rs. 800 per month will get you 4K content on 4 screens at the same time

2. Spuul

The Singapore-based video streaming portal, which entered India in 2012, is as close as we can get to Bollywood's own Netflix. It restrictively allows you to stream Hindi films for free without registration.

Price: You can access the entire catalog for Rs. 150/month.

3. Muvizz

This platform not just offers regular Bollywood titles but independent films, documentaries, short films you may not find on other movie streaming platforms. That is its biggest differentiating factor. Few films are free for viewing.

Price: Access to the entire content comes with a fee of Rs. 300/month.

4. Hooq

Hooq, a joint venture between Singtel, Sony Pictures and Warner Brothers launched in January last year in India. It's biggest plus is it's sitting on a huge amount of content - both Hollywood and Bollywood (plus regional films). It started with 15000 titles.

You can stream films online or download them for offline viewing later (a feature you may not find in other movie streaming sites).

Price: It has a free 7-day trial, post which you have to pay Rs. 249 (including taxes) per month.

5. Ogle

This offers films and TV shows, both Indian and international, with daily, monthly and yearly plans to choose from. These plans are not always open. You may have to check back on their site to sign up for one of these plans. You can even buy a subscription for Ogle at Snapdeal.

Price: The daily plan is Rs 49/day. Their most popular is the monthly plan at Rs 249. For an yearly subscription, you have to shell out Rs 2400.

6. Eros Now

This streaming service offers Indian films, music, TV shows and regional content. The free subscription has limited movies plus other content.

Price: There are two monthly plans both of which offer ad-free, unlimited content.

1. Eros Now Plus comes at Rs 49/month with yearly discounts
2. Eros Now Premium comes at Rs 99/month with yearly discounts.

7. BigFlix

It has a catalog of over 2000 Hindi plus regional films, new and old. A 10-minute preview is available for free without registering on the site. Once you register, you can continue watching for free. For access to unlimited titles, there are four plans to choose from.

3 month plan for Rs 599
6-month plan costs Rs 999

8. Hotstar

Besides a wide variety of TV shows, Hotstar offers latest and classic Hindi films. It doesn't require you to sign up. This is the only platform/app in this list which is completely free.

Hungama Movies (Rs. 249/ month) and BoxTV (starts at Rs 199/month) are other websites/apps that allow you to watch films online.
