Five years ago, Balcony Row (previously, eat pray love Movies) began as a platform to share our thoughts on films we watched, loved and hated. My canvas was limited to (and I guiltily admit, still is) Hindi films while my partner-in-crime and younger brother Lakshya, who studied films at the University of San Diego, reviewed foreign films. We see less of him here now since Launchora, a storytelling platform, takes up most of his time. It's his dream project.

Back then, we weren't aware who was reading us or if we were even being read. Soon, we started hearing from readers and film buffs like you, appreciating our labor of love, sharing their views and reviews, what they liked, what they didn't. Over time, our little filmverse grew bigger and stronger as we bonded over our common love.

In the second year, Balcony Row started receiving invites to interact with celebrities for their upcoming films. Our first was for Lootera with Ranvir Singh and director Vikramaditya Motwane. [My first interaction | interview]. In the last three years, I've been lucky to meet and chat with some of my most favorite actors and directors [Big B, Rishi Kapoor, Shahrukh, Ranbir, Salman, Jimmy Sheirgill, Nawazzudin Siddiqui, Supriya Pathak, Vidya Balan, Amol Gupte, Hansal Mehta to name a few]. Interviews here.

Few days after our first interaction, our blog was picked up by TimesCity. In the third year, it was featured on Times of India. All our subsequent posts (reviews, interviews) were featured on the TOI blog.

At Balcony Row, we want to bring to you every film, new and old, as we watch it. Reviews of the newly released films are up (if not Friday) by weekend. But it's the older gems (we may have missed), that we want to uncover, write and discuss about here.

If you'd like to share a review or your thoughts on a film or anything you think would interest our readers, write to us at mansi@eatpraylovemovies.com or check out this section.

If you have any suggestions, feedback or any other queries, write to us at mansi@eatpraylovemovies.com.

Hope you have a good time here!
